created on 9x12 70lb sketch paper with graphite pencils
This is the final for my perspective class. I wanted to play with some directional lighting and mess around with tilting the horizon line while keeping everything in accurate 2 point perspective. I wanted to make the picture fairly dark over all to let the viewer create some of the scene with their imagination... and to create some high contrast as well. before the class started on our finals, our instructor had posted some photos by gregory crewsdon (check him out -> [link] ) which got me a little inspired to play around with lighting to created a dramatic scene.
i would love to eventually learn to paint this in photoshop/illustrator. not quite good enough to do that for now though.
The tilted horizon definitely gives this more of a creepy edge~! Really great mood setting! Your lighting really turned out well~! T__T I wanna go back to skoo.
