lol well thank you again then. my design process is kind of weird. i always start thinking of a personality and a character name... then an alt mode... and go from there. with beamer here though, i definitely had a base since he's been around for almost about 18 years now (!!). that and lots of influence from all of the awesome design work in the mtmte books.
i think i want to change his shoulders in his earth-mode to sort of match. i started drawing the guy not long ago and kept thinking that he was just too darn bulky ... and that the big square parts just don't match the style of vehicle he was. it just didn't make sense anymore! aarrrgh!
and life and work are pretty darn close to swallowing me. they may have actually. i just climbed back out. XD
Yah, I totally get it. Revamping a character, you kind of see all the things that bug you, that you never really realized bugged you. Hhaha, yeah, the thing is back then, all the cars were well -- sort of square and thick and bulky, and now we're much lighter and curved and not so sharp-edged or wide. Having the same problem over here a bit.
Hahah yeah, me too. But I'm not overseas and I still feel like that! Sigh, when did we become responsible adults and let it take over?
Although the nice thing about being responsible adults is that steady jobs let us buy more toys. Or something like that!
hehe. yep yep. I think I tweak his design probably once every couple of years honestly. For now, his vehicle mode is just a cybertronian looking car (that is slightly bmw-eque i guess). I had a cyb version of him before actually... but he was WAAAAAY to chunky/clunky.
