TFP Arcee by beamer TFP Arcee by beamer
I slapped some color on this just recently, though it had been sitting in my folder waiting for quite some time. I had been working on a background for this, but with as sketchy as I had the lineart, it just wasn't working to my coloring style. mostly. (my coloring style is... "oh god oh god... why am I trying to color this?")

anywho... enjoy. :)

edit: I didn't realize how sloppy some of the colors were... cleaned it up a little more. :S

I love the color scheme. Reminds me of Megaman X. Nice work, as always.

This came out really well. That TFP look is tricky to get right, and this fits into it just fine, while still feeling like it comes from you, and not some template. So kudoes. And her stance has a lot of spunk. One crit on that hand (because I know you can draw hands): It looks like she's got a thumb on either side. I think in that pose, we'd be seeing a bit more of the top of the hand (I'm posing myself to check this) and the pinky side would be toward the viewer.
Favorite part: the chest and wings. And the curved line of her through the frame: simple, clean, good stuff.
Keep on keepin' on, bro!

Thanks, man! I totally see what you're saying on the hands. To be honest, I got lazy and thought I could cover them up with some heavy shading. lol It really didn't work. Shame on me for that.
I really haven't attempted much TFP stuff at all. I love to look at it (I bought the art of prime book and the covenant of primus book as well actually) and there are some amazing artists on DA that REALLY do the show justice. personally, i'm not much of a fan of drawing it. lol which is probably silly because it seems like it's setting the tone for awhile with where the franchise is going.

Consider yourself properly shamed. You may now step down from the Dunce Box. ;)
I love DA -- so much good art here! And so much inspiration. How did you like the Art of Prime and the Covenant? I'm on the fence about buying them because although I've enjoyed the series, I can't see myself doing much art-wise with it... and I'm leery of the Covenant's attempt at remaking TF history. (There is no truth but G1 and comic book truth, and Furman and Roberts are its gods.)
