invasion prologue page 1 by beamer invasion prologue page 1 by beamer
for the whole comic go to botcon.com -> [link]

lots of trantech stuff on this page. rhinox, megatron, and prowl... later on, the panels that rhinox and co. are looking at would all be filled in with cartoon screenshots and comic scans. (later filled in by :iconrid-nightviper: )

how lucky is rhinox? he monitors the multiverse but...when you think about it, technically he sits there and watches cartoons all day. :3

This is a GREAT page, Josh's colors really brought your art out in this one.

thank ya! so glad i got to give rhinox a mouth (though we later came up with a battle mask for him to make him more transtech-ie). helps with the expressiveness a little. ^^

you're very welcome, Beamer ^^

oh that's so cool, specially for that part, it's more easy to use those battle masks and at the same time when you need to show expressions you can change to the normal mode, that's my favourite part because for me Transformers were always more similar to humans in my mind ^^;

:icondcjosh: was the colorist for the prologue. :) don't think they're on DA. just the botcon page. ^^ (and eventually in the botcon diamond edition book)

Like the amount of details you put into each panel.

i think i kinda faded in and out on my level of detail. starting off i was thinking "oh yeah! i'm going to detail the heck out of this! all these pages are going to be crazy!!! rawr!" and then as i went along i started to think "wow... i'll never get this done if i do that". lol

Fair enough but still a good attempt nonetheless.

I really like to see the "rough" pages. It makes the final product even more amazing and us even more eager to see it! May I ask how much time you put on every page?

thank ya! i hope jake posts some of his inked pages at some point. he cleans up my rough pencil work pretty dang well.
heh. and if i ever had the chance to sit down and do a page from start to finish, it would take me probably about a day... maybe 5 or 6 hours of straight drawing. with my kids and my day job (military stuff), i jump on and off working on a page for about 4 or 5 days. a few minutes here, a few minutes there. in the end, i turn out about 1 or 2 pages a week. definitely not speedy at all. :(

Oh boy... I sooooo understand! My daughter is only 1 yo and I can barely color or draw when she's up... Oh well, there's worst things in life! At least we can still do our art! ^^ It's nice to know how much time it takes to other artists to do their art. Makes me realize that I'm not as slow as I think I am! Just in the average! :) Thanks for the info! And looking forward to see your next piece of art!
