alrighty. Well... I assumed that's what you meant, but I was hoping you would elaborate. I suppose I should have been more specific when I questioned your comment. Is it the hips (I admit the pieces on the sides of his legs which are meant to look like samurai armor make him a little hip-ish)? Facial features? Body posture? This is the first I've heard anyone say that about the way I drew him. I'd like some feedback please.
Oh, that's what you meant. |D I'm sorry, I did not understand that the first time around. It wasn't really the facial features, the body posture. What made me think it was a female was the upper chest plating. The samurai plating, yes, also made him look like he had hips.
Holy crap-- that is, some detail! I'd probably go crazy if I did detail level like that, however I always admire it when I see it. Great work Beamer! Also love the yelling for some reason, I think it is because of the emotion behind it.
When I saw these, I was overjoyed. I am so happy for you -- you've finally "arrived." I'm always so happy when people I've watched for years get hired by "real companies." It's so awesome to see talent recognized. HUZZAH.
That said, these pages are BEAUTIFUL. Great drawing, great panel design. I'm just so darn proud of you. *sniff*
heh. well thank you (seriously! that is very kind of you)! i do still have a bit of a ways to go honestly. If I could ever commit the time, I would start seriously submitting to companies. For now, I kinda take what I can get when I can get it. This was a "hey... i'm not deployed... can i have some work?" and it actually worked! hehe. I hope I get more projects like this in the future too.
