i said i'd draw more classics and technically, the soundwave reissue is in the classics line... so this kinda counts right? that and i've never drawn soundwave. ^^

Above and beyond, Soundwave was the greatest Transformers toy ever made. Conceptually unique at a time that Transformers didn't really have special concepts beyond the ability to transform. A good argument could probably be made to say that Soundwave single-handedly made Transformers THE hot toyline of the mid 80s.
